What is now D-R Services had its roots in the 1950’s as part of the adult training workshop that began with the Dale-Roy School.  From Simple crafts and activities in the early years, the sheltered workshop expanded its role over the years to include performing labor-intensive operations for local industry. 

Today D-R Services contracts with many industries to complete jobs that require packaging, assembly, sorting and a variety of other valuable services.  D-R Services has also grown to be a leading supplier of document destruction services for the region. 

D-R Services is a 501c-3 federal non-profit organization that provides employment, job and life-skill training to enhance the quality of life for adults with Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities who reside in Ashland County.
